It was most of a day in 1975 or 76.
And changing over from very old fashioned informal displays to modern quality museum displays. At the time the no-hit game balls from 1900 to current were in an obviously homemade case resting on pegboard hooks with 3x5 cards to identify the game. I've really got to go again soon. I'm not sure if they're still in the area, but there was a farming museum that had the cardiff giant, a hoax/scam from 1869. -Just checked, and they're still there, with a really neat carousel too. Take your wife and family! The Farm Museum is fun for kids and the State Art Museum with many of Grandma Moses' works is well done.

Definitely take the family and hit up the Fly Creek Cider Mill as someone said before. That place is great for the family. There's plenty of shopping on the main st in Cooperstown..as long as you like baseball stuff

Another with 13 players who were with the Pittsburgh Pirates during the regular season, but never played a game. There's also one about 27 baseball families, as well as a day-by-day look at the worst team in Pittsburgh Pirates history. This is the Wagner I saw when I visited Cooperstown in February. The famous McNall/Gretzky card.
It was accompanied by a PSA 8 M101-5 Ruth Rookie, PSA 8 Goudey Lajoie, PSA 9 T206 Cy Young and others. It was my second visit. Had a great time. |
