1928 Star Player Candy cards are hard to find. Yet, in the Old Cardboard #10 article about them it says there are 72 cards in the set (73 if a Lou Gehrig exists). What wasn't said was that there is a collector who has 70 of the cards. I think they are missing the Ruth and the Buddy Myer card.
I have 16 of the cards (including the Myer) and there was a person who once had at least 40 of the cards (until they auctioned them off). So, if the person who had the 70 cards still has them and if they wanted to, they could complete the set. David |
