Here are a couple more I dug up.

Let's add a little pop culture. I got this from Johnny in the mid 80's. He used to be a pretty big collector. He started with cards and then moved to autographs later. He was very mild mannered and a really nice guy.

Missed opportunity.

Johnny was a regular at the National Pastime shows in Manhattan and always bought from me. He was a signed photo collector.

Richard,
I met him in around 81. At the time, he was putting together 1957 Topps set. For some reason, I have a memory of him buying about 30-40 commons(unslabbed and ungraded) from my Dad and I, at one of the Armory shows or it could've been the Armenian church. He was a regular at all the NY metropolitan areas shows back then.
Shortly after that he got into autographed photos. He became good friends with Heschle and, especially his son, Craig Morgan along with Neal Rosenwasser. Neal, Craig , and I got invited by Johnny to go with him to the Stone Pony to see them play on a Sat night, after he came to the show we were all at. The next day we were all back at the show, very tired. We didn't drink, but we did get back really late.
Wow. It's cool how one photo brings back so many memories.

Best,
Mark

I was never a fan of punk rock, I am a big fan of classic rock.
But I obviously knew who he was and he was always a real nice guy when he came to my table.
