With a couple of recent additons to this thread we have knocked off the T213-1 Chase Dark Cap & Regan SLer. Let's strike Doolan & Dubuc from the list as well. Also, some nice Type 1 Red Cross to boot. Thanks for sharing - keep em coming !

Rob - Nice Thomas - Very clean, indeed.
Let's also strike Paskert from the list which I believe is more like very scarce rather than rare among the Coupon gang. Why do so many of these 1910 COUPON cards have a repeated pattern of paper loss in the upper portion of their backs ?

Hey Ted,
Nice Willett ! I can't explain it, other than perhaps these cards all resided in the same ole time collector's hands and perhaps he stored them in a certain pattern and upon removal they all suffered the same fate. I do know this, there are some really nice Coupon's that have technical grades of 1 or 1.5. They look like 6's on the front, but have the paper loss. They look amazing and are in such beautiful shape (wrinkle free).

Alright... I can add to my Huggins post back there. Thank you, Chris. Now I have a Huggins T213 type 1.
![]() ![]() I know the idea of thinking of the type 1 Coupon cards being like T206's crops up. In a slab they look similar. Hold one in your hand and it is obvious that the type one cards are virtually on paper, not cardstock. The type 1's aren't at all like T206's. At least the slim American Beauty cards look like they were T206 size until a side was trimmed. Their thinness, their fragility, would be a contributing factor to there being few of the type 1 cards... |

Leon suggested that I crack out a '14 CJ just so that I would know what they were really like (thinness mainly). I was kind of stunned - I now have a lot more respect for those that survived.
