Carlton,

Great shoes and a great shoe stand. Any chance of seeing some wide shots of your displays, to see how your room is set up? (or rooms!)

Greg

Default wider shot

Thanks gentlman...here's a wider shot of my baseball corner...I got that black case over twenty years ago out of a thrift store in the Mission district of San Francisco...little beat up but works great as I have limited space...I remember I bought it at night and carrying it out to my beater 65' Olds Cutless...No one mugged me and took it LOL!

Hey Carlton...

Mouth-watering stuff. Seeing those 3 Testi Statues posed that way is making me green with envy. Gosh, those suckers are tough to find

Before you put the camera away.... I, too have a favor to ask. Could you post a clear photo of the inside of the Boater Style Cap? I guess a close-up shot of the front would be good, too. I just picked one up from Corey Leiby, and would love to see a better view of yours (for purposes of comparison).

Hope it's not too much trouble... Thanks so much, and GREAT displays!

Mark

Mark, Thanks for the kind words...So....you're the one that bought Corey's boater hat...I called to buy it and it was sold!...When I was moving mine around last night I was struck by how worn it was though still looks good...How about posting a shot of your boater?

Here's a link to a feature I did on my boater...will those photos do?

Carlton...

I did NOT get the one you saw on Corey's website. I missed out on that one, too. I expressed disappointment, as I always seem to be a day late and a dollar short with his stuff. But apparently he remembered I was looking for one. So he called me a few weeks later, having acquired another example.

Mine appears structurally identical to yours and the one pictured on Corey's site. But it is blue and has an embroidered key on the front. I liked the original example a bit more, but this one is in very nice shape, and displays very well.

I'll attach pics in just a bit, as I am tied up with work emails for the next few minutes... thanks!

OK - attached are photos of the one I got from Corey. Eager to hear Carlton's (and anyone else's) thoughts on this one.

Structurally and shape-wise it is very similar to Carlton's, but the material on mine looks a bit different. Mine seems to be more of a traditional baseball cap material, while Carlton's appears to be more of a velour or crushed velvet. That's what the pics portray to me, anyway...

If anyone can identify what the Key logo represents, that would be a real bonus. I'll send a small token of appreciation to whoever can positively identify what the Key might represent.

Thanks!
