So the first auction is over. Any thoughts on where the prices ended? Above or below expectations?

I took a shot at the tobacco pack collection but got smoked (couldn't help myself).....

I got the (46) 1915 CJ SGC lot and thought I paid pretty close to what is was worth. I was happy to NOT get it for the overbid I entered as I may start to be seeing a light waaaay at the end of the tunnel on this thing and got a little trigger-happy.

Steven, those weren't part of the Dreier collection. It was just the first 400 lots.

It's funny - I bid on proportionally equal amount of pre-400 and post-400 lots, and won 22 lots, but it was all non-Dreier. Makes me think the first 400 lots went higher than expected just because it was Dreier-owned.

Default Drier Cobb & Wagner

Legendary stated that the Drier collection had the most extensive collection of Wagner & Cobb type cards available.

This auction had 23 cards in total of Cobb and Wagner. Does anyone know how many more Cobbs & Wagners will be aavailable in the next few auctions?

Tony

Tony - I don't know the exact number, but the pages of text in the auction catalog that preceded the listings said there is enough so that there will be sections of Cobb and Wagner in every auction for the next 2 years.

Jeez, I would hope more than that, I have over 15 different Cobb cards, does not include memorabilia items. I know there are Cobb Collectors that have more than that.
