here in minneapolis they have over 400,000 square feet. i agree it seems like many venues have enough square feet but won't be considered to host the convention?

Denver's Convention Center might fit into this category too. I attended a convention there 2 years ago. They've done a really great job on the remodel and have added a lot of square footage. Ther rumer is that they want their square footage to rival Las Vegas as a venue. Downtown Denver is very cool and the Colorado Rockies are nearby as well... Not a great team, but certainly a great ballpark to visit if ever in the mile high city.

Nope... Makes far too much sense. Too good a city, too many direct flights, and too far west. They will never go for it
