Happy MLK Day! I'll honor Doby, Greenberg and Campanella to start
Happy MLK day all. In the spirit of the day Id like to honor the 3 gentlemen below and what they went through in their careers and their respected barriers. I know there are plenty others out there that deserve recognition but I choose these 3 ball players.

Awesome Photo Steve!
Steve,
That is an awesome photo of Jackie and my high school baseball coach Bob "Bobby" Morgan! Thanks for sharing it! Both of them were/are great men! Tim Kindler Last edited by Tim Kindler; 01-16-2012 at 04:13 PM. |

Don't look back, America, something might be gaining on you: And how about a little love for the man who broke another color barrier ten years before Jackie R. set foot on Ebbetts Field?

1952 Rookie of the Year. First black pitcher to win World Series game. Supposedly, he would always refuse to autograph this card which he hated.

My only Jackie..
Let's not forget what Mr. Aaron had to endure when he was about to break Babe's HR record. |
