The hockey team? I didn't know they still played that game.

Default Winter Classic

They could also have the Winter Classic at the Coliseum or Rose Bowl. Both seat 92,000.

Default Tahoe would be great?!

I too love this spectacle. I have always loved hockey nearly as much as baseball. And I LOVE baseball. But Hockey has a very interesting history and the games are more exciting many times. I love watching the AAA games in hockey more than minor leagues in other sports. I have a blood lust for the fighting, which you definitely get your fill with at the Stockton Thunder games.

My clients and business associates enjoy the hockey more than the baseball so I always do my recreational business over a hockey game. Glad to see it doing well.

West Coast game is going to be very difficult to host. Any big city is most likely not going to be cold enough even in winter, ie. Seattle. Lake Tahoe would be a great location but not going to be 20,000 people there outside of an Olympics to attend the game. I am thinking the furthest West in the US that is cold enough with enough resident population is Denver.

Default Winter Classic

Los Angeles has a seasonal outdoor hockey rink every Holiday season. Weather wouldn't be a factor.

Cleveland is doing an outdoor hockey game this year at Jacob's(I'm sorry, Progressive) Field on the 15th. I'm not a big hockey guy, but I always have a blast when I get to see a game in person.. Plus it's Ohio State-Michigan.. I probably won't end up going, but it looks like it would be a fun time..

Default Denver would work. Coors field??

I think Coors field would be cool. Its tough each season not getting to see a west coast team in the winter classic.

In the last ten years, I don't think there is a sport that has grown faster than hockey. Except of course UFC. I can definitely see them reaching out to a wider audience by including a west coast classic.

Best sport to see in person is hockey...stinks that the Flyers are now 0-3 against the NY Rangers this year.

Hopefully Philly will continue to receive karmic retribution for rooting for that cowardly creep Mike Vick.

Default Tough Sport, Best time.

I agree, enjoy hockey more today than 10 years ago. I was never aware of how much fun it was to see until I started getting tickets to the Sharks in San Jose. Great team, great experience. Great atmosphere downtown, win or lose. I wish that the A's, 49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Kings, can take a lesson. Its nice to see the Sharks play, walk to my car parked safely downtown. Stop and have some Pizza or drinks. The city of San Jose has done a great job with the team. Next to the Giants ballpark best sporting event in the Bay.

Default Sharks...

I like how the Sharks maintain most of there players. AT least I can go to the games and wear a jersey of a player who will probably have a respectable tenure with the team. i.e. Joe Thornton, Patty Marleau. Its terrible to see teams like the A's who have to revamp their team each and every year. Can't stand that. I am more comfortable watching Hockey in person, Football on TV, and Baseball on the radio/tv.
