I am a logical person, so think about it
Babe Ruth is famous for hitting Home Runs and he was also famous for having an insatiable appetite for food and drink. He ate hot dogs during games. All day long where ever he went people wanted to be near him, shake his hand, buy him a drink. So if that is how he lived his life, His hands were always dirty.
