Okay, good. So at least in this instant, I'm not crazy. I have spent a lot of time comparing these images -- the hat, the hair, the ears, the fold in the hat, the collar of the jersey, etc. I was quite sure they were the same, but for some reason, figured I was missing something.
And Chris, you're not kidding about him liking this pose. I'm not yet as certain about the Voskamp image, but that similar pose can also be found on the M101-2 Pirates team, the Johnston tri-fold postcard, and a few other 1909 Pirates team pictures that may or may not all be from the same larger panoramic. Once again, thank for the responses! Regards, Richard. |

Yes. Among other things, focus on the bend of the cap bill as well as the shadow it casts. Also the fold in his jersey just left of the top (near his neck) button.

![]() I think the 1% of me that wasn't convinced the images are the same, is the part of me that knows if I complete the T206 back run then the OCD part of me is going to want the orange border and baseball bats candy card as well. I think they are, but with different backgrounds, Pittsburgh prominently on one shirt, not the others, cropping and lighting issues, I'm about 90% sure.
I think bottom left and the card on the right might be the same for sure based on the shadow of the shirt just above the belt buckle, but you can't see that on the top left card. |
