I would like a grading company with no qualifiers ! If it is off-center to a certain degree than it can't be an 8 (OC) it should be ie) a 6. If it is 70/30 then it could only have a certain top grade and proceed down from there , based on the other card factors. If it has a crease then the top grade would be maybe a 4 etc.

I really would like to see a company set up a 1-100 system. Use today's technology to pinpoint centerness with a laser machine. Photo the corners and the computer gives a readout etc. Then a human would check eye appeal.

Default Companies with no qualifiers

You have them! Beckett and sgc... Psa grades tell it simply like it is. If it is an 8 quality card that is off centered, it receives a grade of 8oc. Most collectors already realize that particular card has the true value of a straight psa 6. I own many psa 8oc and 9oc t206s that blow away cards that are straight grades with just a fraction of better centering. T206s are so miniscule anyway when it comes to centering. Give me the razor sharp 8oc over the straight 6 anyday. Another thing to realize with PSA, you can ask for a straight grade versus a higher grade with a qualifer. Keep in mind, I am a collector, not a retailer..... Thanks

I think that this bullboard isn't a fair forum to have this opinion poll. SGC is going to rule. Try placing this in the PSA web site forum, it wouldn't be so lopsided, they may get 50% of the vote that way....

I prefer SGC unquestionably for prewar, BGS for modern. I feel SGC are the most accurate(although brutally tough on my caramel cards) and most trusted in my opinion. The SGC holders present the card well, and I'm not a fan of the PSA floating card holders. SGC will also explain why you received the grade you were given upon request. Lastly, I see less mistakes from SGC vs PSA. Before prewar collecting I had only modern cards, and BGS was accurate and fair while presenting your card in a solid holder.
