Babe Ruth baseball
Here is my signed Ruth ball which I have had for many years. It is personalized to someone whose name was "Buster" Bates. A couple of years ago in a Hunt auction, a signed personalized 8X10 photo "to Buster Bates" was also sold. At the time, I did not have the extra money to bid on it and had to let it go but now if anyone knows where it ended up, I would dearly like to "marry" the two items together. I don't ever recall seeing two personalized items (baseball/photo) made out to the same person although I know it probably happened a lot but maybe Buster Bates was someone special that Babe knew since he took time to sign two different items or maybe there were just two "Buster" Bates.
