Okay, I get it now. It was a promo card for the movie "The Sluggers Wife". Does it have a printed back?

Default Palmer

The Palmer has a regular made up back. Danny Noonan from Caddy shack is the actor ( O'Keefe)

Anthony-- nice pick up. I had to pay 2 for mine . You only need 6 of them for a full "set"

Right, but each can apparently be found hand cut or with a cut out

Default Lots come to mind

I've gotten lots of sweet deals on modern stuff, including from sellers who didn't bother to mention in the listing that the autographed cards they were selling included manufacturer-certified autos of Hall of Famers.

My first ebay purchase ever was a '51 Connie Mack All-Star Mickey Cochrane raw for about $75. It's now in a PSA 5 holder.

I picked up a SCD 9 (red flip) '60 Lake to Lake Schoendienst for $26, and crossed it to a PSA 9.

I got a '59 Topps Dolan Nichols No Traded Line PSA 6 for under $4 - the seller didn't indicate in the auction that it was the tough variation.

I found a poorly listed '72 Candy Lid uncut (square) Gaylord Perry for about $20.

I think I paid about $50 for an uncut sheet of 9 '76 Topps Cloth stickers, which conclusively shows that Apodaca and Dyer were intermingled on the sheets.

After missing out on several from other teams, I was lucky enough to purchase an album page of '64 Topps Venezuelan Senators with 13 of the 18 cards attached for under $35.

I just made a recent purchase off-ebay after an item ended unbid that I don't want to jinx until it arrives, but will be starting a thread on this board about, because it might justify rethinking the dating of a set.

No big scores on modern cards, but I've found some really nice stamps that were either mislisted or had unnoticed varieties that are valuable. One is one of 5-6 originally sold, and went for about 1/4 of the catalog price of a normal version. Another catalogs about 500 but was listed from Norway with the variety not mentioned and scheduled to end at 10AM EST on Easter Sunday.

Local auctions I've done well once in a while. I missed this during the preview, I think they had it behind the table on a chair so I figured it was just someones jacket. Announced as a braves jacket belonging to Ernie Lombardi and consigned by a family that was friends with him. (Yes, Very sceptical about the player, although it is really large...)

Beat up, but I'm pretty sure it is a braves warmup late 30's-early 40's. It went for just 100. A shame what was probably a name was cut off the white leather side at one time.
