As Bill said,
You're in for a real Treat. If he is there. Stop by and say hi to Robert(Bob)Thing. Talk about good people and the rich tradition of the hobby. He goes way back to the early start of the hobby. talkin baseball- john d. guzze |

The show was fairly typical on Friday for the Shriners show, for anyone who has attended before. Plenty of vintage dealers, but many of whom are priced 2-3x what you might find online these days. Some incredible pieces to look at, but at the prices, you start to see some of the same pieces each year with the same dealers. OH, and there's always going to be a great Levi Bleam hat sighting at the show!
I should mention I was able to find many fairly-priced T206 commons through Kevin Savage, who had them priced (with stickers and all on the card fronts!) at online prices - Sgc 30s for $20 40s for $30, etc. I wish there was more of that at these shows! Definitely well worth attending the show if you are in the area though! |

Hi-
The meetup is scheduled for today at noon in the room where the bar is. It is over by the snack bar (when you walk in go down the first row on your left). I hope to see a lot of folks there! Alan |

Hi-
I just wanted to say I had an incredible time at the show today. It was a pleasure seeing fellow board members Scott, Steve, Rawn, and Kendall as well as Bigfish, Jimmy, Marty K, and a couple of lurkers. As usual, the show was packed with dealers and a good portion of them had at least some prewar items. Personally, I acquired a ca 1900 junior league bat with a really cool handle, an 1890s school team photo with child mascot and early equipment, and multiple other items. However my favorite acquisition was 4 early snapshots that I will post it in the monthly pickup thread later this evening. I hope everyone who attended had a great show, and the same to those attending tomorrow. Alan |

Was nice meeting you and Rawn and others, Alan. great show for material as usual, my first in eight years, w not too many deals IMO for resale or otherwise. Hopefully next year, I will have more money to spend.
Those snapshots are GREAT

For those that went - did anybody happen to spot any of the '47 Bond Bread Jackie Robinson set of 13 cards?
