Did someone actually have a ticket for this game and not use it?
I always like to show off two of my favorite pieces from my collection.

Bill Buckner was and is a class guy. The ESPN feature was incredible, I wish more people had seen it.
Bob Stanley was more than happy to throw Billy Buck under the bus despite his wild pitch which tied the game and putting the winning run in scoring position. Now there is a classless individual

Bill Buckner is a class act. People forget too that he was a hell of a good player back in his day.

Now 26 years ago. For a diehard Mets fan it seems like yesterday. It seems like the franchise has been cursed ever since!

In 2010, the actual "Mookie Ball" was on display in the Mets Museum and Hall of Fame at Citi Field.

In 2011, the "Mookie Ball" was replaced by another 1986 World Series ball that was used in Game 6, signed on either side by both Mookie Wilson and Bill Buckner (signatures not visible in this photo).

Perhaps the title of this thread should be updated on an annual basis. When I saw it, I was trying to figure out what the hell happened in 1987.
