Tim, good job. I think I remember that info on Otsego before but had forgotten about it. I also did not know about all the Pro players, just excited to see Cobb in the pc. There also was a post awhile back where someone had the same photo as mine, not on a postcard, but a large photo. I think the guy wanted $1000.00 for the photo, but I passed.
Joe

Thanks Joe - I believe there were more games played in 1913 than in 1912, how many I would have to go back and check. The final game to end the exhibitions was between Otsego and Grayling with an estimated 7,000 people there to watch the game.

Thanks Jason, Tim and anyone else who contributed to information on the postcards. I have copied all the information and will store it with the postcard with Cobb.
Joe

I just recently came across this postcard and thought it belonged in this thread. Grayling played against Otsego in these games and we had a Grayling card (second one below) pictured. I just found this Grayling team postcard (top one) which seems like it might have been an earlier year before the outfield fence was filled in or perhaps a different ballpark. Note the white sweater on the left side matching the one a player is wearing in the other. Also the manager is clearly the same guy. I haven't looked at it long enough to match up any of the other players.

Great thread and great postcards! Baseball must have been a lot more fun back then.
