A friend and I picked up a stack of '57 uncut panels at the National in '05. Some had Mantle, some Kaline, but all were priced @ $30 a pop. Registration was all over the place, and the ones that had water damage we passed on, but for some reason there are a lot of them out there.
Not sure they were cut down purposely, but '57 sheets seem to be a lot more plentiful than most other years of the era. '62 has a lot as well.
