Default Ebay seller "psak69."

Now this is totally ridiculous and it comes from that "other" auction site. Someone took a vintage Yankees team photo and miraculously got Mickey Mantle and Whitey Ford to sign it.. And certed by Document Examiner, Drew Max (AAU). What a total piece of garbage.

Can you guys describe/educate for me what is bad? I see it on the ball worse than the photo. I have a ball my dad got in the 80's from a trusted dealer that is not authenticated and I am scared to get it checked out now that dad has passed on and passed it down.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but here are pics. Please be kind even if you think its fake. My father believed it was real and Mick was his hero. It was bought from an honest dealer in NC whom I recently spoke to. He claimed to have gotten it signed at a card show himself.,

I really, really hope so though of course I would never sell it and plan to pass it on to my sons. Can you tell me why you come to that conclusion.
BTW Thanks

If you want to educate yourself with certain autographs then I recommend that you study them. It takes time to learn autographs. Below is a good example of a Mantle forgery. The forger attempted to emulate the Mantle signature that you own.

and that's exactly what I'd do...the ball is good as gold and so is the signature.

These are the kinds of things that are lost to people that the forgers could care less about. They have no conscience. I think that was my motivation in spending countless hours of studying, watching Chris's videos, asking questions on boards, until I could spot a forgery a mile away. The last thing I want for my grandkids are tainted memories of Gramps getting ripped off & passing down worthless forgeries. It is fair to assume the 35 + Mantle pictures and 6 balls are going nowhere in my lifetime.

another beauty certed by Drew MAX AAU...just horrible. This hobby, and I use that term loosely has jumped so far over the shark it's not even funny anymore.
