Yet another slabbed fake. I love 3rd party grading

At this point, PSA has no way of knowing which of the cards they slabbed are authentic or not. Maybe the right thing to do would be to remove all the certs and the people with legit cards could send them back in again for re-authentication with a new cert #. Otherewise, you would think this would cost PSA a lof of money with their buy back guarantee.

Umm, SGC also shows these cards in their population report. And SGC also says that they no longer grade these cards. So, I guess that means SGC sucks also?

Given what I said above, and with quite a bit of experience with these, I don't think PSA or SGC sucks for not grading them. For the record Beckett will grade them but I also know that they will not grade (at least one of) them if they are not 100% sure of their authenticity. Personally, I think all of the top 3 should grade them when they are sure of them.

Umm, I didn't say PSA sucks because they're in the pop reports or because they no longer grade them. I said PSA sucks because they authenticated a counterfeit one (actually more than one).

When you're in the business of authenticating things (baseball cards or other), you better make damn sure what you're authenticating is, well, umm... AUTHENTIC!

If there is any doubt, just admit it (nothing wrong with that) and refund the customer's money or give them a voucher.

Again, this is just one reason why PSA sucks. I could give you a laundry list of others.

If this is not a compromised holder with a different card put into it, then this is a shame. Any grading company should know better than this....
