I don't think this seller is stupid. He has been in the business, what 25 years. You would know better and understand exactly how tough it is to obtain even one Christy Mathewson and to have quantities that all look identical?

But why would he come here and expose himself like this unless he honestly didn't know and even expose ACE for what they are. Great thread!

What is the light test?

Moesalty, this thread wouldn't have gotten this long and detailed if Frank hadn't posted a photograph of his Babe Ruth signed note authenticated by ACE (Justin Priddy). That was the gas on the flames.

Can you link to the Mile High Auction? Six months isn't that long ago. It should still be cached.

It was Memory Lane - My error - and all of u can ask Spence if he didn't cert my Matty's recently - buyer has the LOA'S and I need his approval to give his name.

Frank, just ask the buyer for copies of the certs. Just ask Spence for copies of the certs. All authenticators keep copies of their work. We don't need the buyers name. Nobody is asking you to violate dealer-autograph collector privilege . Just get the copies of the certs.

Richard, the CoA was for the Matty contract--which is genuine.
No one but Priddy certified any of those cuts.
