Hey Daryl! Looks like your Blackburne has the rare Apple variation. Congrats on the pickups!

LOL Andy how goes it man?! I thought we might bump into each other at the dinner! Yeah, I have to get a scanner; taking pictures with the iPhone is getting old!

Default My National Pick-ups

I bought these cards from Chris Buckler and his wife as well as from Dave Shraeder of Bagger's Sprotscards. I paid $225.00 for each Cobb, about $30.00 for the common t206, and $80.00 plus trade for the Cy Young.

Thanks Richard I appreciate the comment. Now if I could just find the last 4 C46s I need I would really be a happy guy! (Taylor, Byram, Corcoran and Malarkey)

Been a busy month for me...just getting back into it after a hiatus. I really need to pick a collecting direction otherwise I'll end up with a mess of cards and no strucutre . Nevertheless, I'm especially happy with the Speaker...been wanting one of them for a long time. All via the BST.

The Maranville and Waner are from the recent SCP auction. 20 more 1933 Goudeys to go!

About 30 more 1934 Goudeys left to complete that set as well.

Default Some Silks

I bought these with the intention of flipping them, but when examined under the light the silk glimmers and the image of the player seems to come alive. I may have another collecting focus...

Best regards,

Joe

Hi Jason, thanks for the nice comments I am about 75% done with completing the set. Still aways to go but getting some super deals on 8th series cards sure helped. I saw these at the National going for 3x what I paid for them in this grade. Meanwhile 6th and 7th series cards continue to draw strong bidding interest and high prices.
Hi Mike! Let me know when you are coming through again, I thoroughly enjoyed lunch and talking cards.

An upgrade to my current one.....this made the top 3 of the hotly debated logo on the Net54baseball T-Shirts. But in the end it was Ty that made it. A classic pose of Cy nonetheless..
