After nearrly 10 years of thying to complete my HOF colletion I was two cards short comming into 2011. Eddie Plank and Honus Wagner. I figured it would probably take the whole year to find what I was looking for as I had only seen 1 or 2 Planks since I started and not many more Wagners in my price range.
In late January not just one or two, but three Planks came up for auction within days on ebay and I was able to win one of them for less than expected. Then I decided to go for the Wagner to colmpete the collection so I sold everything I had been holding on to in order to get it. (mostly other sports lots of commons). Not only was I able to get a Wagner to complete the HOF set I had enough money left over to pick up a 1948 Leaf Musial! All this was before the end of March. A great start to the year. We shall see what the rest of the year holds. Drew
