Always looking to buy or trade for vintage items related to any heavyweight champion from John L. Sullivan to Muhammad Ali, or anything related to heavyweight contenders of the 1960s and '70s — especially George Chuvalo and Jerry Quarry. The "Holy Grails" on my WL are the on-site programs for Chuvalo vs. Ali II (May 1, 1972 in Vancouver) and Chuvalo vs. Quarry (Dec. 12, 1969 at MSG).

Being more of an opportunist sort of collector I don't really have a wantlist.

But there is one thing I'd really like to get.

A photo of the Stan Papi grafitti that was on Fenway. It was past the bleacher gate on Lansdowne St. It was very profane and with an even less PC grafitti response. I was always amazed the team allowed it to stay for years.

I always meant to take a picture, but never did. If anyone did take a pic of it I'd be happy to get a copy or even just a scan.....

These are a real needle in a haystack--handcut fibreboard with the player image in black and white affixed on top, and the player's name handpainted below. They hung over the concession stand at the main entrance at Wrigley Field in the late '60s early 70s and featured everyone on that year's roster. i have two that i found at a flea market 20 years ago--John Boccabella and Pete Reiser. If you ever see one, let me know!

Default Holy Grails

Here are some of my collecting holy grails:

ANY early vintage no-hitter tickets!

Nolan Ryan game used ball to his 1st no-hitter on 5/15/73. Must have impeccable provenance.

Pinback buttons for Johnny Vander Meer, Bob Feller, Virgil Trucks, Allie Reynolds, Jim Bunning, Don Wilson and Sandy Koufax.

Unusual Johnny Vander Meer items related to 1938. Here is a picture of a Vander Meer pennant that Perezfan Mark posted recently. This is one of my top wants at present.

Too many to list individually, but always looking for any vintage baseball boardgames not already in our collections.
Nothing to trade and low on cash, but always willing to do your yardwork...

Default How Neat and Diverse!

How neat and diverse everyone's want lists are! Please keep them coming. The only things I have that readers mentioned were a really old Cleveland Browns pennant and the 1915 Champion Game of Base Ball by Proctor Amusement Co.
Thanks, Andy alwysyakn@aol.com

A piece of the original artwork for a '50-52 Bowman or '53 Topps card. Someone had a piece for sale here recently, but it was for a card that was never issued or I would've snagged it.

looking for a black Indians nodder, either face type. I have a few old Browns pennants (and a couple nodders) will send some pics once I get around to taking them.

I am looking for almost anything related to spring training in Hot Springs and also any items related to the minor league Hot Springs Bathers 1939-41, 1948-55.

I also collect Arkansas Razorbacks football programs and for that matter any Arkansas schools related football programs!

Would love find a pair of vintage quilted pants. Then maybe some reeded shinguards.
If money were no option.(i'm sure we all say that).

A clear copy/scan of this Honus Wagner photograph:

Doesn't have to be Type I, II, III, or IV - but it's gotta be crisp! I've been looking for one for years now, and have never found any other image of it other than the one I have enclosed here. Damn skippy, I wanna paint it!

Booooo.
