One other thought - Marlboro Mass. is about 40-45 minutes west of Harvard, while Boston is about 10 minutes away. So if (esp. in the 1870s-1880s) one were looking for a photographer, proximity would be of the utmost importance.
With a large number of photography studios in Boston (and in Cambridge) at the time, I would see it strange to use a photographer located so far away from Harvard. |
