One reason is both scanners have a CCD scan element (I believe), so you are not going to see much difference.
The use of a '55B Banks with the dull background is not the best choice for a test---try are more colorful card Try scanning @ 200 dpi & adjust contrast & sharpen just a tiny bit. Your Banks is not that bad!---but try another card w/ a more defined background.
