Mike Scott (for the Astros) and Hideo Nomo (for the Red Sox), also pitched no-no's, after leaving the Mets.

It was Yogi Berra Day and he caught the first pitch but isn't it significant who threw it to him?

| Padres futility...............

The San Diego Padres have never had a pitcher throw a no-hitter since their inception in 1969. They've also never had a player hit for the cycle. Pretty sad, when you consider that a few players have hit for the cycle twice, Bobby Doerr being one.

Jeff You got it....it was Yogi Berra Day. And, at an interview after the Perfect game, David Cone said he threw 88 pitches. Just a coincidence, or maybe the "8's" were in honor of Yogi TED Z |

So what player was in the lineup for Cone's perfect game, AND another perfect game?

Several of the players in the Yankees' lineup for Cone's perfecto, were in the lineup for David Wells' gem, the prior season.

You may be thinking of Paul O'Neill, who was in the Yankee line-up for Wells' and Cone's perfectos, and also in the line-up for the Reds, for Tom Browning's masterpiece.
