Default a bit late

Just to remind everyone of the rules we have been done since last night. The last guesses will not count nor will any future ones. If you edit your guesses, or posts, they will not count either. Good luck to everyone that guessed before 8pm EST last night...Please don't edit your posts as the guess will be disqualified if you do...thanks again

from the rules:

All guesses, and/or 1 edit only, have to be done by 8pm EST on ***5/6/11 (Friday, which is one day before the end of the auction).

I did a quick count and got $50,936.25 with the BP. That total is lower than almost every guess in this contest. Apparently having eight at one time did not help.

Default T207 Red Cross

Barry, thats right. I guess all the fellows that estimated high werent planning on bidding. Great cards though, the Lowdermilk and Tyler are special.

The Lowdermilk did very well; the seven other players not so well.

Default T207s

I picked up the Adams SGC 50 last night. Thought it was a great deal. When I looked at VCP, there was some bad data on there. The only true comparables I found were a Blackburne PSA 3 for $9400 and a Lange SGC 10 for $4652. The rest were Red Cycles listed as Red Crosses.

Bill, I noticed your relatively low guess last week and you were very close.

Default a few things

I will figure out who was closest later as I am about to head out of town. While I would be happy if I were the consignor of the Red Crosses, whoever guided him to give all of them to one auction, that will run them all together at once, probably cost him a fair amount of money. No doubt, to me, it's better to spread out really rare type cards. But then again what do I know about type cards? .

Maybe they should have spread them out among the major auction houses over the a year period. Did you say the same thing about the 12 or 13 Ty Cobb with Cobb backs or anyone else that has one collection that they wanted to turn over.

Would such a comment be made if they were submitted to B & L?

Happy Mother's Day,

Lee

Fabulous buy ron!

I feel a bit foolish for paying over 9k for the blackburne now ... but I certainly would not have predicted 8 more RCs one year later

Best,
S

Sweet pickup Ron and a great price! Nothing for me but again if anyone on here won Lot 119, T-207 Rarities (25) and can part with the Bushelman (SGC 20), I am a ready buyer (msteele_1959@msn.com).

If the Math from Barry is correct, it looks like the Pup may have won the contest.
