I may just be out of the loop, but is there a reason why some miscut t206' such as the Spade (with Cicotte) that is shown above have a different player on the sheet above them. While others, such as this Cobb

was printed with the same card above it?

I believe the images on a T206 sheet were printed two players to a vertical column. Each of the two images would have been printed multiple times. For example vertical columns could have looked like this:

A C E
A C E
A C E
A C E
B D F
B D F
B D F
B D F....etc

With this sheet setup there are more opportunities for a miscut with the same name top and bottom and only one position on the sheet (the middle) where a miscut would result in two different names top and bottom.
