So am I to assume that not only did Stump forge the signature, but he also forged the entire letter to himself? Yikes, that's bad news.

Richard, what are the telltale characteristics of a Stump forged Cobb? I am very curious to know just for enlightenment. Thank you.

It's sad that despite the GREAT ( and IMO, the GREATEST and most fascinating) history of Baseball and the Collecting hobby, that so much is about Operation Bullpen, Al Stump forgeries, Roach's corner, etc, and the sport itself w the Black Sox, the Cobb/Speaker incident, Rose betting, etc. Still, IMO, its the greatest game/hobby in the world, and I have a never ending love for it. .
