Hey Dan, where is the "Big League Chewing Gum" on the bottom of the Goudey Vaughan? I thought all 1933's had that (except Lajoie, of course). Something I don't know about? Wouldn't be the first time!

Hey Ken,

I don't think any card after #190 or so has the "Big League Chewing Gum" designation on the front of the card. There are also some prior to #190 that don't have it either such as #112 (Schulte), #142 (Richards), etc...

I am not exactly sure why, hopefully someone with more knowledge can chime in.

Ken

there are a number of the 1933 Goudey cards that do not have the BIG LEAGUE CHEWING GUM banner on the bottom. See also the Richards, Berger, and others. Some great colors on those cards !
