trying to trick the trickster.
Just sent a question - telling him I'm REALLY interested and asked him to post a scan of the "makers mark" on the plate. Certainly an MVP award from sterling silver - my guess is whoever did this one - clearly didn't waste their money on sterling when they could defraud using silver plate or "silver colored metal :-) Hoping he posts his response to save some poor soul.

I find ebay so difficult to deal with. Many times I have alerted them to bogus championship rings on their site. Each time, my requestes and alerts were ignored. I guess I am not considered a power user and my emails fall on deaf ears.

Looks like the same guy bought both "awards".
As I said before, I am 100% convinced that the engraving was done by a machine and we know that there weren't any engraving machines like that back in those days. My engraver is running right now.........I guess I should go over to the antique mart and pick up some silver plates and start engraving
