The person who sold the black and white one on eBay is currently selling a Tuxedo advertising sign. They previously bought two reproduction signs/posters from style_quest yet ANOTHER seller who frequently sells fake items.
Here is a list of sellers who OFTEN sell items that look too good to be true: myjunk66 out of Ohio acofind out of Indiana (also has eBay ids of fourducks and theolestuff) style_quest out of Indiana lour24i3d out of Indiana (mixes fake stuff in with real items) David |

I missed this the first time around, fascinating stuff.
I'd have thought the color one was the fake, but the $15K says different. Was the standup part of the color one advertised as homemade? It looks very much like the work of a kid with scissors and glue, while the standup bit of the black and white one is obviously a professionally made part. I'm often amazed at the effort expended on some of the fakes. Finding a good enough source image to make a decent reprint, the actual printing, and making two die cut parts. Die cutting isn't cheap. And while doing all that, they cheaped out and didn't bother with the green print. ![]() Steve B |

Generally speaking, expensive display pieces starting at a very low price on ebay, with no reserve, are almost always reprints/fakes. I always assume they aren't good. Also, you can tell by the write up too. The more times they say they don't know the less times they are good. And the kicker is always, if they end it saying "God Bless'.....it's not a good item. (nothing against the term by any means, it seems scammers like to say those words though)
