Not a baseball card, not a post card (most of the time) - Exhibits don't get enough love. Here's some of my best ones.

I like Exhibit cards. I think it took a while for most of us to appreciate them...

Here are 4 of mine. I like Southworth because of his connection with the Cardinals. I'm glad he finally made it to the Hall. The Schang card has always puzzled me, it has that sticker on there, anyone recognize that sticker? Ever see one like it on anything else?? I have a Pat Collins catcher's mitt, old as the hills, belonged to a couisin of mine. Not many choices out there if you're looking for something of Collins. And then there's Catfish.

Now these 2 Exhibits took me some time to acquire. I am a Cardinals fan, and wanted something of Rothrock's. I eventually got his autograph. And I think I have a Diamond Matchbook of him. Then I finally got this Exhibit. I think his other Exhibit has him on a 4in1 with the Red Sox. Think I have that... And then the 4in1 that shows Len Koenecke... what a story goes with him. He was pounding the ball, but his career came to a sudden end. There aren't many collecting options for him, either.

Frank, that sticker is from a 1921-30 MLB Die-Cut. They were part of a game and came as sheets of the players made from thick cardboard and a seperate thin paper sheet of the names and you pasted the appropriate "label" on the player it went with. They meticulously updated these every year to reflect the new lineups for the new year--many players have these that never made it onto a "real" card so they tend to be collected by player collectors without any alternatives. Here are some examples from a partial 1927 Cleveland team set I recently put up for sale.

Hope that helps.

Thank you, Rhett!!!

I just knew someone here would know what that was. I've puzzled over it for years. I think I have a 2nd Schang Exhibit and I know none of my other Exhibits have that sticker. I think I'll leave it on there.

Great Simmons Rookie, Paul. You're right, that is another extremely tough one.

Wow Leon, the one with Ruth's '24 W-Unc image is very nice!

Very nice Kawika, everybody; this thread is already awesome,

Love this card because it's a good shot of Babe's meaty forearms and hands: Blank Back
