Earl Averill...

That's interesting as well.... There definitely seems to be a pattern between the Butter Creams, the Uncle Jacks and the Baseball Magazine covers...

There is no Earl Averill card known to exist in the 1931 Sun Pictures cards..

The following players are listed in the 2011 Standard Catalog for the 1931 Sun Pictures cards:

Earnshaw
W. Ferrell
Grove
Hartnett
Lazzeri
Pennock
Ruth
Simmons
Vance
H. Wilson
