I finished half of my basement in my old house. Originally it was intended to be a hang out/party room. It turned into my baseball collection room. I no longer live in this house, and my collection has downsized drastically due to less space. These pics are about 2 years old. One of these days, I'll take new pictures of my current hoard. But here goes.

Top shelf 2

Back room

Albums and stuff

Corner of room

Wall above display case

Display case and more sorting area

Sorting table

More stuff on walls

Autos and flag

Default Hoarding

Every now and again the thought crosses my mind to pick a particular card, and collect a bunch of them to put together a framed display. Done right [a T205 or T206 with multiple backs or an image that crosses many sets], I actually think it could look pretty cool. And then I start to think about the questions people will ask when they see that I have 8, 10, 12 of the same picture of what will appear to be a random dude in a frame hanging on my wall.

And then I veto the idea and move on...

Regards,

Richard.

...my collection of signed T206 Snodgrass batting cards, including one of my all-time favorites because it has a note from dear old Fred on the back...

I think I lack only the Piedmont 150 factory #30 card, to have at least one of the various back possibilities. Only one Hindu in the bunch, a couple of Sovereigns. I have several of his other items: cards, a pin, a silk, and a stamp.

Richard, if you drop the frame wall display idea, then people won't ask about having 8-10-12 of the same card. You would simply be hoarding...

Ha! You're exactly right. I gues that's why I've never actually moved forward with any kind of display

Of course the idea of all these cards just hidden in a box drives me nuts!

Regards,

Richard.
