Wow...after pulling my butt out of bed this morning and seeing that there were no replies to my question, I realized that in fact you guys were likely sick of this topic...So I pulled up my socks and pulled my head out of my ass and looked for myself...and I feel a sense of accomplishment for the day...Remember im lazy. I found my answer in a few previous posts and appologize for posting for the 100th time in this forum a topic that everyone has seen before. Sorry for being so lazy.

Brandon, I'll chime in since I went to bed early. My opinion is it doesn't matter as long as your display preference has U/V, you keep them out of direct sunlight, and try to rotate items you have on display so that they are not always out in any kind of light. I just bought two cases that hold 40 balls each and have U/V glass on the doors. I've also seen some like that but they hold a number of balls in ball cubes. Quality wise, I'm told that Steiner has a nice product that holds 1, 2,3 + balls, and I plan on getting a couple of these also to display some individual groupings of balls.
Good luck. |

I worry about the typical acrylic baseball holders--you are still exposed to risks from UV light (including from your light bulbs), humidity, etc. Gaylord has boxes that are good for long-term storage (see link below) and you can display the balls in acrylic as needed.
http://www.gaylord.com/adblock.asp?abid=15754 Leather is not naturally white, so all baseballs are in the process of returning to their original color. The best you can do is to slow the process. |
