Default Lenox additions

Ted,

I picked up a collection with a Brown Lenox Schlei portrait and a Black Lenox Seymour throwing. Still going through the rest of the more difficult backs versus the current checklists.

Doolan batting.

Is that an example that theoretically *should* exist with a Lenox back, but is still yet unconfirmed? I haven't heard of one in (many) years of looking, whereas the other two Phillies McQuillan and Magee are both confirmed.

Hi Marc,

Doolan Batting theoretically "could" exist with a Lenox back. There are a number of 350/460 players that have not been confirmed with this back and there is a good possibility that some of them were not printed with a Lenox back. If you're looking for Doolan Batting I wouldn't give up hope just yet.

Default Gradedcardman

Thanks Adam for your new brown LENOX input.

I have added your brown LENOX Schlei (portrait) to the list.

Regards,

Thanks Ted. I am headed out of town this weekend but will then start the grade process and also do some scanning of Uzit and Lenox cards. Hoping to turn this purchase into a 2nd set. Had it complete less the big 3 about 15 years ago and sold it before a failed attempt at marriage !!

Thanks, Adam

Congratulations Adam! I know a few of us are really looking forward to your list of players with each respective back. Both Lenox and Uzit have new front/back combinations still to be found and just maybe you have some.

Default FYI....T206 LENOX (Black & Brown) confirmed lists

Hey guys......

We have a confirmed Pfeister (throwing) with a Brown LENOX back, but not a Black LENOX back.

I find this very strange, as all other Brown LENOX cards have been confirmed with their normal LENOX back.

This Pfeister card should exist with a normal LENOX back.....it is just a matter of time before one shows up.

Anyhow, has anyone out there seen (or have) this front/back combo ?

Thanks,

TED Z

Hi Ted -

It's not surprising to me that a Brown Lenox has been confirmed for a card that hasn't been confirmed with a Black Lenox. IMO the Brown Lenox were a separate print run from the Black and thus could have (and probably did) have a different combination of front images on the sheet used than any of the Black Lenox sheets.

Most Brown Lenox will be found with Black Lenox also because most of the available 109 images were printed with a Black Lenox back. But I don't think we can say for certain that because one is found with Brown it should also be found with Black.

In addition Overall - (Hands At Face Level/Yellow Sky) has also been confirmed with Brown Lenox and not with Black Lenox.

There are still new confirmations of both Brown and Black Lenox to come in the future and we will learn more as they surface.

- All the best
