I'm not a uniform expert by far, however I am a graphic designer & illustrator and can tell at first glance that the Boston jersey is a bad forgery. Those "old English" letter forms are constructed by someone who had absolutely no training in typography because they have no idea of the way a letter in that particular type-style is constructed. A turn of the century uniform company would have had on staff designers who knew type and how to create graceful letter forms. If the guy who cut those 2 letters out of felt worked back then, he would have been fired! The makers label is obviously re-sewn on the jersey as well, the thread looks too white compared to the rest of the item.
