Sad indeed. I grew up in Seattle and was born just about the same year as the Mariners. I bet I have listened to Dave Niehaus broadcast over 2000 games in my life and he is truly one of the good guys. My older Brother went to High School with his son. The Mariners will not be the same without him and it truly is as big of a loss to the Baseball world as any broadcasters passing EVER! I am glad that he was honored in the Hall of Fame before he died so he could feel the love and respect that his peers had for him. My sincere condolences to his Family and all those who are grieving for a great guy and one heck of a Broadcaster. I am sure I will never feel the same way about another broadcaster if I live to be 100 years old. He was special to Seattle fans!
