Default Kodak Inspired

The W555 camera looks remarkably similar to the Brownie Camera of the same period, don't you think?

All W555 are also found in E93, E94, E97 or E98 except:

J. Collins
Mowery
Snodgrass

I have never seen any of these 3. Every few years I ask if anyone on this board has one.

Anybody want to show one of these?

Rob

Default Collins

Rob, most hobby checklists that I have seen show the W555 Collins as Eddie Collins (with both a "light uniform" and "dark uniform"). Could you please verify that your missing Collins should (or should not) be "Eddie Collins?" Thanks.

Note: There is a W555 "Eddie Collins" (light uniform) now on eBay at http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-W555-Eddie-...item56335d2bbe.

Thanks again for your clarification,
Lyman

rob are you saying the 3 above are in the w555s? i remember it came to a consensus that the e93/e98 "eddie collins" is really jimmy...so there could be 2 jimmy's poses?

earlier discussion...hmm jay, gilbert, scott mosley...who are those guys?

http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=82651

edit: way cool i found the snodgrass pose from scott...i didn't know they took poses outside of the e93-e98 pool...cool piece of knowledge i just picked up!

Thanks Quan for tracking that one down. Hmm, where's that image from?

Lyman: You're right. It's dark and light. The light is from E93 or E98. The dark image is from ? Never seen it, but I don't think it'll correspond with E93-E98.

Lipset's Appendix B that does a cross reference of E93-E98 and W555 lists Collins and J. Collins but I think it's just a typo.

Mowrey is a card that I know I've never seen.

Curious why there'd only be 2 or 3 out of so many cards that don't correspond with the "pool" of images that were used in the caramel sets. I've always thought that tells us that the Mowrey (if it exists), the Snograss, and maybe the Collins dark pose could've appeared in one of the 4 candy sets, but were not selected to be included. Just more speculation of course.

Rob

I've always liked these cards. Nice additions without breaking the bank.
