Defining "Premium" with regard to baseball cards is sort of like defining a baseball card itself; a bit nebulous. I think of Premiums as something given out to promote something. Many times they are oversized and many times they are not part of a "set" (though many are part of a set). Premiums don't have to be "cards or paper" either but could be little baseball bats, statues or anything else. As far as my collecting of them, I only collect ones made of paper. Also, most times something(s) would have to be sent in, in order to receive the premium. Hope that helps a little bit.

Now, did someone say "S".....
