Great, Ted. Thanks for your reply. Nice set. Congrats on completing it. Sounds like it was a fun challenge. I can imagine your excitement. If I can ever complete the w580 boxing set I am working on, I would be over the moon. Of course, I still don't even know the complete checklist for the w580 boxers, so I might be at it a while. You have been at your set for almost as long as I have been alive.

Ted - I'll add my congratulations to you on the completion of another set to go along with your already impressive collection.

Default MISSION IMPOSSIBLE....accomplished....I don't recommend you piece-meal this set

Thanks for the nice responses from all you guys who have posted here. They are really appreciated.

I fully realize that this is an obscure BB card set. It isn't even a pre-war set (unless you think the Korean war).
But, in the past there have been a couple of threads on this side of the forum regarding this set. Anyhow, it is
noteworthy to inform collectors, that might be interested, of the serious challenge that this set presents.

Also, for many years these Blue Tint cards were classified as a 1947 issue, but we now know it is indeed a 1948
issue, based on certain player's trade dates.

Best regards to all,

TED Z

Ted - was it this lot that sent you over the top?
http://sep10.hugginsandscott.com/cgi...l?itemid=25021

Curious how many from the lot you needed to complete the set?

Nope
I wasn't aware of that lot. Lately, I have been avoiding these auctions.

Looks like some one got a nice deal on that lot.
