To your 1st question......
I had 4 of these Blue Tints (Yankees) from when I collected them as a kid (circa 1948-1950). I started collected them when I returned to the hobby in 1977. But, they were very, very low priority in my interests. So, you could say it's taken me 34 years. Meanwhile, I have completed every major BB set there is from 1887 to 1984.....and, many in multiples. Having said all that, if one were to focus on acquiring all 49 cards in this set, it would still take quite a few years to complete it. These Blue Tints are simply not that available. To your 2nd question...... The stars are not that difficult. Ted Williams, JRobby, and Durocher (Brooklyn) are somewhat tougher than the other HOFer's. It's all those other guys that are really very tough to find. TED Z |

Ted
Congratulations on your accomplishments. You certainly must be one of the few to have achieved sets complete of so many. Sounds like a very worthwhile endeavor. Frank

$12 will not get you a decent looking common here. I have paid $25 - 40 for some.
However, there is a relatively low demand for these cards, which tends to moderate their values. Best regards friend, TED Z |
