I would think since part of the Y is gone - it is more likely the period was never there.

I am assuming the missing Y part is not paper loss.... rather something was on the printing plate in that area.

First the Murr'y Sweet Cap and now this new Doyle-Dan -these are great new discoveries. It takes a keen eye and you have it.

Jim you are too kind but I can't take credit for the Murr'y. Mr. Doug Allen showed me the Lenox back one which I now own. It was in Nate's collection for years.

Yes I seem to get abused for the stuff I keep to myself so that I can collect it like the Tip Top Orioles, can't afford them any longer.
