I inadvertently cooked steak-fried chicken last night and spent the better part of the morning vomiting.

You must've had the special at Sal and Mo's.

Now, if you get some higher quality chopped steak and then use some really good homemade breading and deep fry it, it can be good. Almost all of the fast food Chicken/Country fried steaks aren't very good though, imo.

As an Arkansan who lived in Texas at one point, I just never gravitated to Chicken Fried Steak. However, a nice helping of grits (I like mine with a little bit of pepper, one dash of hot sauce, light on the butter) and corn fritters is what I live for.

On an episode of Deep Fried Paradise, a diner in some small town in either Texas or Oklahoma was featured because of its chicken-fried bacon.
I'm checking on flights. |

I saw that episode. That episode was awesome. My kid likes bacon so much that he once crumbled a piece up and put it in his root beer float at a local steak buffet. He asked me if I thought he was the first person in the world to ever mix bacon with a root beer float and I told him "probably not."
