Looks like the purchaser of the Legendary set made out like a bandit, thanks to (very!!) aggressive bidding from a few interested parties (thankfully I was not one this time).

Purchased for $21K + fees, etc... on 8/5.
Total haul from the last two Sundays of sales over $51K for the set. Even after eBay fees et al, that's not bad for 3 weeks effort. Perfect timing.

Default T207s

I'm guilty as one of the big spenders. Was doing some upgrades to my PSA set. Got outgunned for the most part, but was excited to get some tough cards today. For what I can tell, there are less than 10 in existance of some of these cards, if you're looking for a solid Vg-Ex or better. The nicer condition toughies are mostly wrapped up in someone else's set so unless a set gets broken up, you have to live with rough PSA 1's & 2's.

People don't think twice when a T206 sells for $1000, but that rarely happened with T207's until this year.

That Red Cycle price is crazy. I remember 4 or 5 months ago someone was selling 5 or 6 Red Cycles in the 3-4 grade range that all went for $250-$350 dollars a piece.

I was the underbidder on the Red Cycle Buck Weaver PSA 4. Compared to the prices for some of the more common players, I guess the $1692 selling price on the Weaver was a relative bargain; wish I had bid higher!

Have to agree with both Ron (Bridwell) and Scott (scooter729) on this one.
I too wish I had bid higher.

Default Road rage bidding

After getting thumped on some Cycle back cards last night, I threw out a bid twice what I was intending to bid, based on sales over the last year, for a Cycle back card and to my chagrin, didn't even get close.
I felt the one card that was a huge bargain was the Pelty and I kick myself for not bidding higher (ouch!) I don't know how high the winning bidder ws prepared to go but that was a steal. The rest, ehh, not so much, although the Weaver Cycle back was a good price and would have been a nice upgrade for my set.
I remember a few weeks ago posting that that Legendary set going for 20k was a real steal and I guess it was borne out by the fact the buyer flipped the cards to make a cool 30k profit and he probably still has commons in the set to sell. Wow....
