Another way to go is through postal money order. A few years ago I won a PSA 8 1968 Mickey Mantle on e-bay & received an ungraded beat up 1968 Mantle instead. When the seller refused to refund me & tried to stick me with the card, I filed some paper work with the post office. They have their own lawyers who tracked down the seller. They refunded my money. I filed charges on the seller & he was charged for fraud.

Great point(s) about the misuse of ebay "Gift." I have always thought and agree that using it was all about shorting/cheating ebay their due fees but it also does transfer the risk to the buyer as well. Also agree with above that I have never funded a paypal transaction thru any means but a cc. |
