This is by far my favorite set of the 60's. These were the first cards that I bought in bulk. I used to buy the 6 pack wax trays at the A&P with about every dime I could scrape together.
You should be able to buy groups of low numbers in EX+ with regularity and get a good start. The high numbers are moderately expensive but very plentiful if you are not a centering freak. I just recently bought a couple of empty '67 wax boxes and the two style of wrappers to go with my set. |

I love the clean look of the '67s. Even though the 1960 set is a favorite of mine for personal reasons, I'm not sure I'd rank it in the top third of the 1960s sets based on aesthetics. I've debated about putting together a 1962 set, but you can't beat 1967 as a choice.

Best 60's set there is IMHO. High numbers will require some dedication but it is fun to put this one together. I plan to upgrade my weaker cards fairly soon so will get to relive it a little.

This is right up there as a top set in the 60's. Probably '67, '65, and '60 for me. The fronts are clean which is why I think I'm attracted to it (same with '57 Topps). My favorite card in this set is Cards Clubbers Brock/Flood. Such a beautiful photo with nice color.

Jason,
It was my favorite card as a kid growing up in SE MO and remains my favorite post war card. I have multiple copies and for some reason still buy nice ones when I come across them. Here's a scan of a wrapper as well. ![]()

Funny you should mention that card as that is one that stuck out for me as a great combo card. Here is another card I picked up recently that inspired me to start this set, think I put it on the post-war pickups but oh well, worth posting again...

Great set with several interesting and tough variations ( some cataloged, some not), plus the 67 Roger Maris Yankee proof. Also a good year for Topps inserts and test issue: 67 Discs (regular and SF), 67 Pin Ups, 67 Punch Outs, 67 Stand Ups, 67 Red Sox and Pirate Stickers, and 67 Who Am Is.

Here are a few '67 Topps boxes. As I said I love this set, great clean photography, loaded with HOFers, aggravating high numbers and my favorite team won the WS that year. I was 8 and it brings back great memories.
