Here's another potential solution, if you want to take on a less "ambitious" project. This is my Hartford Batter Statue. Not all of these were made into lamps. This is one such example. The tree stump is not drilled out, and the circular base is original to the piece.
So if you are content with just the statue, this is a far easier alternative. If you want to take on the project of a full lamp, it will require lots more time and effort (but might also make for a more spectacular display). Hope this helps, Mark
